Welcome to the our information page! We want to preserve our indigenous family histories and want to help as much as we can to help you reconnect with your Boricua Taino family. In order to be an enrolled Tribal Member of the Arawak Taino Tribe of Puerto Rico the following criteria must be met: 1.) Have verifiable Native American DNA who origin point is the island of Puerto Rico, or a Puerto Rican descendant who's island heritage goes back to at least the 1800's. It doesn't matter if you were born on the mainland, if you have provable Boricua heritage you are family.

2.) Anyone who can validate a paper trail through official vital statistics or Church records as a descendant of any of the indigenous families listed on our tribal rolls originating from the Indiera region of the island.

3.) Anyone who can validate a paper trail through vital statistics or Church records as being a descendant of an Indian soldier who served in any one of the four companies of Indians in the San German Urban Militia.

4.) Anyone who can validate a paper trail through government records from Spain, United States of America, or Church records that identifies a Puerto Rican ancestor as "indio" or "mestizo" or "De Color"
